Congratulations Carter Family!!!

We are so happy to say that we were Lucky enough to get to go through the Temple with our Best Friends. Dylan and Carly received their Endowments at the Provo Temple on Saturday April 26th. It was so neat to be there with them for this special time!

After the session was over we all went to Los Hermanos for dinner.

This is our "Family Picture." We spend so much time with these guys that when we're together we're called "The Carpe family." There kids are so excited for us to adopt. Their always asking us when they will be getting a new brother or sister.

The following Saturday May 3rd their cute little family got sealed. This would be them waiting to go in. Left to Right: Dylan, Grady, Ally, Carly, and Brennan. While Dylan and Carly were getting ready Riley and I were lucky enough to go into the nursery with the kids. Riley played with them while I got them dressed in white one by one. This was one of the neatest experiences of my life. I'm so grateful to have such good friends. I will cherish these memories forever. The sealing was Awesome. I can't wait until Riley and I can take our precious children to the Temple with us.

This would be my cute parents, waiting outside. My dad is standing on his tip-toes in this picture and that's why my mom leaning sideways. He's barely taller than her, so it's a running family joke.

After taking the picture of my parents I wanted one of me and Riley. He was talking with Matt Gammell and they jokingly posed for our picture, but because of the delay on my camera I didn't get a better picture then this.

This is one of my favorite pictures. The sun was so bright so before every picture the kids would close their eyes until the photographer would count to 3, then they would open and smile so big.Dylan and Carly were so happy.

After the sealing we all went back to their church for a luncheon. My mom and dad brought Joslyn with them. Riley was so cute playing hide and seek with her. All and all it was an AWESOME day!!!

Online Adoption Profile!

We've had a little mix-up! If you try to click on our online adoption profile to the right you won't get our profile. Apparently someone at LDS Family Services thought we had gotten our baby so they deleted our profile online. So we are having to redo everything. They actually have a guy that is a Graphic Designer who is helping so hopefully it will be bigger and better. We are hoping it will be up within the week. We will keep you posted! Thanks again everyone for your love and support through this time, we are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends!

Okay so now that we both have Motorcycles, we need you our Family and friends to help us end this argument of whose is better! (okay we really haven't been arguing but we thought this would be fun.)

Happy Birthday!!!!!

April is a busy birthday month in our family! Our sis-in-law Laura's birthday is on the 20th, Riley's dad (Papa Rich) is on the 24th, and my Dad and I share the same day on the 28th! That's right I am "Daddy's little birthday girl" and always will be!

Sunday night we had a dinner over at my Mom and Dad's for my Dad's birthday! This is him diggin into his "whip cream cake" that Grandma Evey made for him! He all but ate the whole thing himself, he didn't want to share!

We love to be outdoors and camping so we gave him a camp/kitchen set and this fun little toss game! This is Riley & Josh playing with Brittany (friend of the family).

Monday night Riley planned a big BBQ/dutch oven dinner with our Family and Friends for my big 25th birthday!!!! Above is Laura opening her b-day present from us!The kids had fun playing on our new/old playground that one of my dad's friends gave to us!

This is my bestest little buddy Grady! Ever since he was a baby he has been my little man! And next to him would be my Squirrel. Dylan caught this thing in his backyard and thought it would be funny to give it to me for my birthday! It was fun during the party, the kids loved it but I made him take it home with him! Not really my 1st choice for a pet!

Okay did I mention I totally got Spoiled this birthday? My family spoiled me rotten and they all kept saying "you only turn 25 once!"

I got many great gifts but here is just a few of the big ones!

This would be my Grandpa Wayne's old Honda! Josh fixed it up and was getting ready to sell it on KSL when I went over to my grandparents and told them I wanted it! I was planning on paying for it, but instead on my birthday My grandparents & Josh told me that it was mine, and I had to put the money I was going to buy it with in my "baby fund!"

And this would be the most adorable thing ever! My sweet brother built me this changing table for our nursery. And mom made the cover, and basket liners. It matches our crib so well! I will post pictures of that later! "Thank you Josh, Mom & Dad!" I love it! My family also gave me an awesome jewelry box!
And this I am holding in my hand would be my new pink & purple 22 shotgun that my Loving husband made me! We saw one in a catalog awhile ago and I teased him that I wanted it. (mind you it wasn't cheap.) So instead he made me one! I was shocked! It is so cool, I can't wait to go shoot it! He also gave me many little things for the house!

Girls Night Out!!!

Every Month (well we try to go every month) My girlfriends from high school and myself try to out to dinner! It's been awhile but we finally made it, last Thursday night we all met at the Olive Garden. Little did we know it was BYU's graduation! But because there were only 4 of us we didn't have to wait too long.

Who asked who out first? I guess technically I did! It was a group activity but I called and invited him because I had a huge crush on him!

What is my favorite thing about him? Yeah right, like I could only name one thing! I love the fact that he likes to do things with me. If he and his friends are going anywhere I always get an invite! I don’t always go because a guy needs his time with his friends. I love that he can fix anything and that not only can I count on him but so can our Family and friends. I could go on for days about what I love about Riley, but I think one of the things I love the most… he is and always will be a “KID AT HEART!!!” I love that he is always playing with our nieces and nephews. From the time that they are babies he adores them!

I just want to take this time to say: Riley I love you! You’re the best husband I could ever ask for. Thanks for everything you do for me! Most of all, thanks for being so supportive of all of my emotions during this hard time in our lives (I know I'm not the easiest person to be around all the time). I can’t wait to raise a family with you! You’re going to be the best “Daddy” ever!

When the Cat's away the Mouse will play!!!

So Riley left this morning and flew out to Louisville Kentucky for an install. I thought it would get easier for him to go on these trips but I really do hate it! I had a major headache this morning so I didn't do much of anything. But tonight by dad decided to give us a girls night out! So my mom, grandma and I all went to a movie and dinner. We went and saw "Nim's Island." It was a really cute movie, I would recommend it to a lot of people. Then we went and ate at Wingers. We then decided to go for a quick little shopping trip before heading home. And well since Riley is out of town and I'm a little depressed about it I decided to buy me a new pair of shoes! Okay so I ended up buying 3 new pairs. But they are so cute, and I promise to get rid of some old ones in their place! It was a fun night, and well needed by all of us! Thanks Daddy!!

So this is the one pair of shoes I bought! Aren't they so cute? For those of you who know me will remember my White Platform sandals that I had in high school. Yeah I still have them and do wear them sometimes, but I told my mom I would get rid of them if I bought these!!!
I think Riley took my camera so I can't show you exactly what the other 2 pair look like. But they are this style. One of them is blue with pink and white polka-dots. The other is a denim/red and other color plaid. I love the looks of the ballet flats that are totally in style now, but because Riley is a foot taller than me I have to wear the heals. I just love these new shoes!! Shhhhh's "don't tell Riley!"

Riley's New Toy!!!!

So this past Saturday Riley made me get out of bed at 5:30 a.m. and ride with him to Idaho! Why you ask, because we needed to go pick up his new motorcycle! He was so excited, he was like a little kid on Christmas morning!

I have to admit I was pretty excited when I got on it and I was tall enough to ride it! I didn't think I would be, but after driving it around the yard and down the street it made me want one of my own. But that's years down the road I'm sure! I'll stick to our 4-wheeler for now!

Happy Easter!!!!

(Better late than never.) So for Easter this year Riley and I went down to the cabin with his parents. We were hoping his brothers and their families would come too, but they all had something come up!

We went down Friday night after work. We couldn't go to bed before our annual card game! Of course Papa Rich won, and he didn't let me forget it! I tried to get him to play Monopoly with me so I could win my title back, but he told me he threw in the fire after the last time (Riley and Mel!!!) Inside "Family" Joke.

Riley's mom spoils us rotten when it comes to food at the cabin! We woke up to Cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. Then she made us Sour dough pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns and eggs. I could help but take a picture of my Yummy plate of food! Chris makes the best Sour-dough pancakes topped off with cream and strawberries!! mmm it's making me hungry just thinking about it.
This would be my hubby enjoying his breakfast! Don't ya love his hair?

This would be our shed out back and the snow that never wanted to fall off! So Riley and Rich were out there most of Saturday morning knocking it off!

Riley was so proud when he finally broke through the other side.

When he got all of the snow off he decided it would be fun to get the sled out and sled off the roof! I tried to take a picture of it but my camera has a delay on it and I missed the whole thing. Luckily he didn't get hurt!

This would be a picture I took off the front porch of Riley down on the zip-line! There was a little bit to much snow for someone Riley's size. He kept hitting bottom! But he had fun trying!!

VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONS!!!!!

SO FUN!!!! So this year our city league volleyball team took 1st place!!! We were so excited and had so much fun together! This was our 2nd year playing together (most of us)! Hopefully next year we can do it again!

This is a picture of my and my mother!!!! She couldn't play this year because she had back surgery in November! So she was our "coach" and helped us out a lot by her loud voice from the bench!!!! (she was never the quite parent in the stands, or coaching, and I love her for that! She was always my coach growing up and I couldn't have done it without her) She's since then been cleared by her doctor and will hopefully be able to play with us again next year!!!

Happy Birthday Jeff, Ryann & Jackson!!!

Yesterday was Riley's oldest brother Jeff's birthday!!! So we went to their house for dinner along with Jane's family. Today is our niece Ryann's 4th birthday, she loves having her birthday on "Green day". Above is a picture of Gracie, Jeff & Bruce and all of Jeff's *41* candles! (I love giving Riley's bro's and sis-in-laws a hard time about their age, cause they give me a hard time cause I'm so young.)
Jeff, is a die-hard Ute fan so as a joke I wrapped up a bunch of old BYU books and gave them to him as his gift. Then we later gave him his real gift, which was a gift card to Mad Dog Biking.
My mom always made us the cutest cakes growing up and she has kept all of the cake pans! So I've attempted to make a few of them myself. Ryann was having a "My Little Pony" party so I made her this cake, which she loved!
This one wasn't too bad! I baked it Saturday night at like 10:30 and then it only took me like an 1 1/2 hours to decorate!
Ryann is such a little Princess and loves dressing up! So we bought her this cute little Belle doll, a princess night-lite and a princess charm bracelet!

This Thursday will be Jane's nephew Jackson's birthday as well, so we were celebrating that too! This is a picture of him with his big sister Brynn helping him open his presents along with the help of his cousins Bruce and Gracie! (I love watching kids open their gifts cause they are so full of energy and so are all the others around them)

This would be 2 of my cute sis-in-laws, Jane & Mel! Pulling all of those candles off Jeff's cake =) I was giving Jane a hard time cause she was throwing them right into the garbage, and sad but true my family always keeps old candles to reuse them!
