Update!!!

Ok so I've been awful about blogging lately, but for good reason I've been really busy! Promise to still update on that later, when we get all done with the house! But for now a little of what we've been up to!

Valentines Day!!! So last year on Valentines day I snuck over to Riley's work during lunch and "heart attacked" his truck. So this year I did the same thing except I did it the night before, so he would see it when he went to work in the morning! It was his turn to drive to work (he carpools w/Dylan) but for some reason (probably because he knew I would do something) they decided Dylan would drive this day!

Back Window!
We went to dinner w/Dylan & Carly to "Mimi's Cafe" and then attempted to go to a movie but that was a joke, so we ended up just coming home after dinner.

A couple weekends later Dylan brought the kids down to see if we wanted to go to lunch with them (Carly was sleeping cause she worked the night before)! Before we left for lunch we turned the kids loose in the backyard! Hand a kid a rake and he'll have fun for a little while! They loved making piles with the leaves and then jumping in them and scattering them!

I even got Riley and Dylan to do a little clean up!!Here is their Adorable 3 kids! Brennan, Grady & Ally!! (we love these little ones like they were our nieces and nephews, actually they call us Uncle Riley and Aunt Nana)

I've Been Tagged

Ten years ago…

I would have been 14 years old! So that would have put me in Junior High. Sad but true my favorite hang outs were Classic Skating & Regal’s Bowling. I know I was a dork! I loved playing softball and dancing! (still do, but I don’t do the dancing thing much at all anymore.)

Five things I did today…

1. Hit snooze like 8 times and rolled out of bed about 7:50
2. Went to work at the wonderful Proby-Oby
3. Went to the bank
4. Went to our new “old” house and did some clean up for carpet to come tomorrow
5. Got dinner from Zubs pizza and now I’m updating this!!!

What would I do if I became a millionaire…

I would first of all pay off all of my debt, and help my family who need to do the same! Then I would take a nice long vacation. I would buy all the toys you can think of, like a nice toy-hauler 5th wheel trailer w/pop-outs. Some new 4-wheelers & snowmobiles. A new boat and anything else that I can use to spend time playing with my family and friends. As you can tell I’ve thought about this before, what I would if I had a lot of money!

Five Jobs I’ve had…

1. Babysitting (I did a lot of that as a teenager)
2. Utah Lake State Park Gate Girl (I took the money at the entry gate, that was a fun job and a good way to meet new friends while in high-school)
3. Dental assistant for Dr. Holmes (endodontist)
4. Aspen Home Loans
5. Currently Provo Ob-Gyn (I love my job; it’s been good and bad to help me with the whole infertility thing!)

Snacks that I enjoy…

1. Pepsi (I think I’m a little addicted)
2. Chips & Salsa
3. Cheetos
4. Junior Mints
5. Cookies

Five Places I’ve lived…

1. Springville, Utah
2. Mapleton, Utah
3. Provo, Utah
4. Springville, Utah
5. and oh yeah did I mention Springville, Utah? (I’m getting ready to move into my 11th home in my short 24 (almost 25) years. But all but one have been in my home town of Springville/Mapleton

I tag…

Jane, and any and all of my friends and family who are reading this!!!!!

Happy Days!

So I know I have been really bad about updating the blog lately! I have some things I want to put on here, I just haven't had time to download the pictures yet! But for those of you who don't know what we have been up to, we have a really good excuse for not updating! We are remodeling Riley's Grandma's house so we can move in! She's been living with her daughters for weeks at a time, and they decided the house has been empty for too long! So Riley and I have been lucky enough to get the opportunity to live there! So we have been busy tearing down wallpaper (that was a ton of fun, not!) and now we are re-texturing and getting ready to paint before our new carpet comes on the 1st! I will post pictures when I can! Hope all is well with everyone and I promise I will be better about blogging when we are moved in and settled!

FAITH!!!!

So a couple of weeks ago we had a Stake Relief Society breakfast/meeting! I wasn't going to go, but Saturday morning rolled around and I knew I needed to go. With the hole adoption thing I have been an emotional wreck. It's quit the emotional rollercoaster. But the first speaker was a Friend of the family Marilyn Mortensen. The topic of her talk was "A House of Faith." I sometimes forget to rely on my Faith, but she gave some really good quotes that touched me, so I thought I should share them:

"Faith is the great moving power that will help us move forward in our lives..." President Hinkley.

"God is your Eternal Father, what a Marvelous birth right this is."

"Stand tall and live the gospel."

"Faith is not knowing that he can, Faith is knowing that he will."

Our guest speaker was a women named Diane Schmidt. She also gave a really good talk and had some wonderful quotes:

"We chose our most difficult challenges, because we wanted character."

"We must have TRUST in our Heavenly Father to help us get through our trials."

Our final speaker was our Stake President; President Norman. He gave one quote that hit me hard, because I believe that Heavenly Father is trying to teach me patience in waiting for that precious child to come into our family. He quoted:

"Building an Eternal Home takes a lifetime!"

I've had many trials in my life as I know all of you have had. But if we keep our faith and turn to it and our Heavenly Father we will be able to overcome these trials!

Snow Day!!!!

A couple weekends ago, Riley and I were lucky enough to sneak away to the Cabin for a day and go Snowmobiling!!!
Look at all that snow!!!
This is Riley when we stopped for a little snack break after just getting done covering most of that pretty country behind us!
This is my self-portrait. I'm always behind the camera so I thought I would take a picture of myself!!!
While we were stopped at the Cabin we decided to try the zip-line out in the snow!!! The platform was covered in snow but it was still fun! Riley thought it would be fun to just drop off 2/3 of the way down, so he landed in the deep snow, and white-washed himself!
This is Riley trying to make a trail to the zip-line from the cabin! Don't worry Papa Rich he didn't hurt the tree too bad!!!!

Better Late than Never!!

I know it's a little late but I finally put batteries in my camera and took the time to download my pictures. These are some pictures from Christmas Morning at Riley's mom & Dads!

The guys and Chris (riley's mom) made breakfast! Riley wasn't feeling well so he sat there drinking his sprite. And the girls stood in the corner chit-chatting!!!

We were so lucky that Grandma Crandall could join us! She loved the sweat outfit Riley and I gave her!

My sis-in-law Melanie went to build-a-bear and had this bear made for my mother-in-law and on different places of it's body there is a sweet little saying from each of the grandkids!

We thank thee, O God, for a Prophet!

Our Wonderful Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley returned to our Father in Heaven on Sunday.
He was such an inspiration to all! He is going to be greatly missed!
He always had a smile on his face and touched the hearts of those he spoke too.
His work for our church will never be forgotten.
We love you President Hinckley and will miss you!

Check out my Slide Show!

Check out my Slide Show!

I love the holidays!! Everyone joining together for some traditional fun! I've made this slide show of some of our pictures from Christmas. Every year for Christmas eve we get matching Pajamas. This year for my Mom's family Christmas party we went on a hayride through the Spanish fork Festival of Lights, then back to our church for some warm soup and fun. Christmas means lots of togetherness and games. We're very grateful for our family and friends, and for the chance we have to be near them. (my camera is dead so I don't have any pictures from Riley's family yet, but I will add those later)

Vegas Baby!!!!

I know I'm a little late for putting my Thanksgiving pictures on here but I just got these from my sis-in-law and they were too cute, so I had to add them! We were lucky enough to get to go to Vegas with Riley's brother Greg, Laura (sis-in-law) and our nephews Payton & Jantsen for Thanksgiving. Payton was playing in a football tournament down there. We had a ton of fun hanging out with them.
This is a picture of all of us at the Coke store! My Mom is a coke-fanatic so we had to go there to buy her some things for Christmas! It's a tradition for me to get a picture taken with Coke Bear every time we are there.

This is all of the boys waiting for me to finish shopping. (They look a little bored don't they?) Yeah I took awhile, but hey I was spending Daddy's money so it's okay! =)

And this would be my handsome little NAUGHTY Nephews at the M&M store! They got in trouble so they were sent to the REJECT pile. (just kidding but we couldn't help but get their picture taken under this sign it was too cute!)

Festival Of Trees!!!!

Every year Riley's family donates to a charity of some kind for Christmas. This year we decided to do 3 trees in the Festival of Trees, in remembrance of Riley's Grandfather (Ruel Crandall), his aunt (Julie) and uncle (Eric), who were all killed in a train accident many years ago.
We started off in quit the mess! But it was all worth it to see the smile and tears on Grandma's face, and the turn-out of all the trees was Amazing!

This is a picture of all our boxes stacked up when we first got the cars unloaded. My mother-in-law (Chris) and Riley's Grandma (Leah)!
We were in charge of Julie's tree "Old Fashion School Girl". Chris (Riley's mom), Laura (sis-in-law), Lesa (Aunt), Me, Grandma, Jane (sis-in-law)! Not pictured: Melanie (sis-in-law) and Lynsie & Randi (Cousins). They did a lot of work but couldn't make it to decorate. The next tree was Grandpa's "Grandpa's Farm". Aunt Mels Family was in charge of this one. Grandma, McKell (cousin), Janelle (cousin), Mel (Aunt), Julie (cousin).
The third tree was Eric's "Little Cowboy". This one Aunt Linda's Family was in charge of. Linda (Aunt), Grandma, Natilee (cousin), Callie (cousin & my Best Friend), Abbie (cousin), Michelle (cousin). Not pictured is: Kelsey (cousin).
They all turned out really well. If anyone is headed up and wants to see them they are on Isle M!

It's Official....

WE'RE APPROVED!!!!
We got a call from our caseworker at LDS Family Services today telling us we are approved. So now it's just a waiting game, relying on our Father in Heaven to guide that special loving person to us, to raise her baby in a loving, caring family. It's been a long time waiting and we are so excited to be approved. So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and if you know anyone who is thinking about placing their baby for adoption have them look us up. They can look at our complete profile at LDS Family Services, just ask for Riley and Savannah! Thanks everyone for your love and support during these emotional times!!!

Family Fun!!!

Sunday night we had a little family fun. It all started during dinner. I was telling my family about how whenever we eat baked potatoes with Riley's family it always turns into a war with the the tin foil. So Riley and Josh thought it would be funny to start that with me. After awhile the 3 of us were throwing them at each other. Then Riley and I went up to the game room and found the dart guns. So then we started that war. I gave my gun to my dad cause he was getting attacked by the boys.
After we got sick of the dart guns dad and I took the boys on in a game of Foosball. We won 3 out of 3 so the boys were sore losers and decided to move to playing pool. We didn't do as good in pool. We were taking turns with mom. The loser that "sold the farm" had to take over her painting the model train track she was working on and she took their place in the game. We then continued to play a tournament in darts. It was a really fun night, we all had some good laughs.

Jeffery's Wedding!!!

Dylan, Riley, Jeffery & Kelly

One of our Best Friends got married in Mesquite this weekend. It was a fun vacation. We rode down with Dylan and Carly. Friday night we hung out in the Casino.
Saturday the guys headed to the gun club, and us girls went to the spa. It was really relaxing. I wasn't going to go I wanted to go to the Gun Club, but I'm glad I went to the spa. We had massage appointments for 7:30 a.m. Then we hung out in the Sauna, and the mineral pool.
Savannah, Carly, Lacey, Jeffery, Riley & Dylan
The wedding was Saturday afternoon at the
Casa Blanca. It was a nice ceremony. Afterwards we took pictures by the pool. Then went to the Eureka for dinner. Then Dylan, Carly, Riley and myself headed to the Oasis and raced the go-carts. We had a lot of fun, you would have thought we were a bunch of young teenagers with the way we were acting. Riley was bumping into all of us and spinning us out. After the go-carts we headed back to our hotel and hung out in the casino some more. It was just an overall fun weekend. We wish it could have been longer.
Kelly, Sara, Riley, Savannah, Lacey, Jeffery Carly & Dylan
We got up early Sunday, got some breakfast and headed home. Carly had to be home to work and we came home to babysit our niece Gracie all week. (getting a taste of being parents, we are staying at Jeff & Jane's, getting up early to get her and myself ready for school and work. Then running her to her Piano and dance lessons. We're excited to spend some time with her.
