Weekend Getaway....

Last weekend we had the chance to go the cabin with Riley's entire family. (except for Mel, we missed you tons.) We had a lot of fun...

Friday night the kids decided they wanted to sleep outside in a tent.
How many guys does it take to set one up????

Jantsen, Gracie, Nic & Brooks
Riley decided to sleep out with them in-case they needed anything, but he slept on a cot right outside the tent.
Okay so he went inside the tent about 5:00 a.m. He had to recover Gracie, and get Brooks out of the corner, so he decided to just squeeze in with them.
Saturday we all went for a ride. We had 4 four-wheelers, 3 motorcycles and 16 people! You do the math... We had 3 people on each 4-wheeler. Luckily Riley had his motorcycle so I ended up with 2 of the kids instead of having to ride with him. ( I like to be in control of the machine)
This is just one of the Amazing views from our ride!
When we made it to end of the trail everyone decided to catch some grasshoppers in this field.
Ryann and I sittin on the four-wheeler. (I know this is a horrible self-portrait of me, but doesn't Ryann look adorable)

When we got back from the ride the kids wanted to go fishing at the gate! Surprisingly Riley caught the only fish!!!!
Then he decided that Gus needed to go for a swim so he threw him in. I know it looks mean, but he hates when we squirt him with the hose, and he needs to learn to be a waterdog with our family!!!!
After throwing him in, he had to give him some lovin so he knew we still love him!!!
After fishing Riley and I went to shoot my gun! You can't really tell in this picture but this is the pink & purple gun Riley built me for my birthday. This was the first time it has been shot, and I LOVE IT!!!! It only jammed the first few bullets, but then I shot through 40 rounds no problem! Thanks fam for a really fun weekend, we need to do it more often!!!!

Memories!!!!

Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

Lake Powell Vacation!

Curly-Jo

This is my sweet little adorable niece Joslyn! We were getting ready to go to a friends wedding. Mom had to go early to help with the food so I got to get Joslyn ready to go! She actually set so still and let me curly her hair into these tight little ringlets. She looked so adorable!
She just loved posing for the camera for me and Grandpa! I love this little girl so much, she has been a huge blessing in our family!

Gracie-girl turned 7!!!

Our niece Gracie celebrated her 7th birthday on June 29th! I got to make her a Luau barbie cake before we left for Lake Powell! It was my first time making this barbie cake, and I was really happy with the way it turned out!
Gracie loved it too!!!
Happy Birthday Gracie-Girl, we love you lots!

Brittany's Baptism!!!

On Saturday June 28th one of our really good friends, Brittany S. was baptized by her father Brent. It was such a spiritual experience. I love seeing how happy these kids are when they become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Brooke, Brittany & Brent (Brooke I stole these pictures from you I hope that is okay)
Caroline, Brittany & Paige (Sisters)
Brittany and My Mom, we gave her the cutest little necklace that had a mini CTR ring on it, some "I Am A Child of God" chapstick, and some candy.
Linda (Riley's aunt), Brittany, Calvin, and my Daddy!
I love this girl, I remember the day she was born, it's crazy to think she is old enough to get
baptized. But I have to say I'm excited she'll be old enough to babysit for us one day!
CONGRATULATIONS Brittany, We love you!

Girls Night Out!!!!

So Friday June 27th some of my Girlfriends and I went to the Tim McGraw Concert! Totally Love him!!!
Jason Aldean was his opening act, and he was Awesome! I love his song "Hicktown"
How could you not love this man? We just wish we could have gotten our picture taken with the real thing. Lacey, Me & Carly Mmmmmmmm... Carly, Me & Lacey
Our seats weren't too horrible. At least they weren't on the lawn. (Usana)
Sad thing is before the concert started we were hanging out by the k-bull 93 station and they had this contest where they had 5 girls racing to get frozen t-shirts untied out of a knot. Carly & Lacey were both picked to play and surprisingly Carly won! She won 2 8th row tickets. Unfortunately there were 3 of us and she was kind enough to give them back so we could all sit together. All and all it was an AWESOME night out!

Fishing Tournament!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went to our cabin up at Scofield for the annual Scofield West Fishing Derby! It starts at 8:00 A.M. and stops at 3:00 P.M. Well we went out in the boat about 9:00 and we weren't having any luck! We went in to the cabin for a potty break then, went back out. At about 1:30 I caught the first fish of the day! Right after I caught mine, my mom caught one just smaller than mine. Then Dad caught one too! We hurried in to weigh in before the tournament ended!

My fish is the fist one, then Moms, and Dad's would be the most colorful one. Yep Mine was the biggest! At 6:00 everyone got together for a pot-luck dinner, and they announced the winners! Well low-and-behold.... I won the women's! I was so excited!
